Raia is the cinematic music project of Japanese artist Mia Watanabe. A classically trained pianist and harpsichordist, she fuses pop, rock and classical influences to craft songs that tell stories, real and imagined.

Based in tropical North Queensland, Australia after a formative upbringing spanning Tokyo, Düsseldorf, London and New York, her international roots are translated into a distinctly global sound.

Called a “cinematic gem” by Vault Lab, Raia’s music has been celebrated by Indiefferential for its “unparalleled depth of creativity.”
